I realize this footprint doesn't look "new", but bear with me.
I'm a part of the Charlotte belly dancing community. There was a new studio celebration today in Concord for the Damhsa Gasra troupe's new space --- the Queens of D'Nile Belly Dance Studio.
What was once a gray box was transformed into a multi-colored shimmy temple with pink and purple and teal blue walls and ceiling.
And then there was the "mishap" with the cloth drop cloth. Instead of "fixing" it, they embraced it. They made art out of it!
Come on... Is there a better way to celebrate something new than by laying down a pink footprint upon it?
